Data You Give Us Directly
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered in a search box are sent to the outside provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details in your message and use them to answer.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard hosting logs can contain an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and times. We review combined traffic to maintain the service and understand page use. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may rely on cookies or similar tools.
What We Do With This Data
We use limited visitor data to run the service, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual user profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
An encrypted connection protects traffic in transit, and logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes stated above. Because visitors create no account, we hold no account password or user profile.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data kept by a website. The inspected research did not identify a general Washington consumer-privacy statute to cite here. Because we retain little, a request normally involves checking contact messages and server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Washington and Pierce County public records remain under their custodians' control; correction, exemption, or removal questions must go to the office holding the record. The Washington Public Records Act, RCW 42.56, governs access to agency records but does not create a right to erase them.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
